Unique Wedding Floral Decor | Solar Arts Building

This gorgeous floral was designed for a wedding at Solar Arts Building in Minneapolis. For those who are not familiar with this historic venue, this building has been in Northeast Minneapolis for over 100 years! The owners of the building retained the historic character of the building with it’s well-worn wood and cast iron and renovated it using eco-friendly materials and equipment. They used 109 solar panels to top the building in order to let the sun power this creative space. In addition to being a wedding venue, Solar Arts Building is also a studio space for a number of local artists and is home to Indeed Brewing Co. and Chowgirls Killer Catering.

Since this is such a creative space, we love being able to channel that energy to design equally creative floral decor. Two unique floral aspects of this wedding were the ceremony arbor and the head table. For the ceremony, we created a beautiful garland to drape on the arbor. It was a beautiful backdrop in front of Solar Arts’ brick walls. For the head table, not only did we decorate the table with floral but also the ceiling! That’s right: THE CEILING! We hung clusters of greenery from the ceiling beams. Lights were also strung from the beams to create a one in a million head table design!
